JOB TITLE: Administrator
JOB SUMMARY: Works with Board of Directors, faculty, staff and parents to fulfill the mission, vision, and goals of the school. This individual is responsible for representing the school to the public.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Required: Bachelors Degree.
- Knowledge of Waldorf school philosophy, including administrative and educational principles, techniques and methods.
- Knowledge of principles of school administration, including finance, budgeting, and personnel administration.
- Understanding of effective public relations and interrelationships with community groups, outside agencies, parents and the general public.
- Familiarity with computers, including spreadsheets.
- Ability to work in a busy environment and keep several projects going at once.
- Ability to analyze, and summarize administrative and financial data effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to work with people in a warm and tactful manner.
EMPLOYMENT TERMS: This is a limited term transitional position of 1 year. Currently, the TRWS community is developing a more comprehensive, long-term plan for the administrative positions and structure. The position will be expected to work 40-45 hours/week, 52 weeks per year with 2 weeks paid vacation. Annual salary of $24,000; and position is eligible for all benefits normally available to full-time salaried staff.
REPORTS TO: Board of Directors
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Committee Requirements: The administrator is a member of the Finance Committee, Board of Directors, and attends weekly Faculty meetings. The Administrator will attend regular Realm meetings with faculty and Board leadership.
